Against enormous odds, and as a result of fervent prayer, on August 7th (8-07), 2005, we renewed our wedding vows. This life-transforming event was a turning point in our family’s faith journey. God showed us, once again, that His grace was sufficient to help us overcome the fears about our past, address layers of underlying family baggage, and arise in grace with renewed hope. Over the years, God continued revealing to us that we were recipients of fresh grace and that nothing would separate us from His love. We didn’t know it at that time, but God was laying the foundation for the Discover+Surrender+Arise+Walk System that we now use in our ministry.

We are aware that all is not well on this grace-starved planet where families are under relentless spiritual attacks. Serving for decades at the intersection of education, mental health, and ministry, we have first-hand knowledge about the challenges that families face. We also know that restoration is possible. Families can be victorious by the grace of God, who promises to give us a spirit power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We have done lots together in our 33 years of marriage. We went to the same school and attended classes together. We had identical majors in college together. We, twice, graduated from college together. We have done marriage seminars together. We have preached together. We have even had children together. We are the proud parents of 3 three beautiful adult daughters and two amazing granddaughters.
